Happy Friday, friends!!

Welcome to Weekly Joys!

Each week I share my personal simple joys.. I'm sharing things that brought me joy, caused me to slow down and live in the moment, and just the fun things that have made life sweet!

My hope is that by sharing the sweet things that have inspired me this week, that it will encourage you to look for the bright spots in your days and help you cultivate a life of joy and gratefulness.

So, without further ado, here are my a few of my favorite joys from this past week!

1. Mexican Casserole

One of my favorite Instagram follows is Amy Beth Campbell!  She's so funny, sweet, and totally should live in the South.  She has the perfect blue and white style and she's such a fun follow. Moving on, last year she posted this recipe and raved about it. I was in a cooking rut (per usual for someone who hates cooking), so I gave it a whirl. Y'ALL!  It has been life changing. We've made it about every week for dinner and it provides yummy leftovers for a couple meals.  I've gotten my sister-in-law and mom making it regularly too.  Sometimes, I swap out the polenta for rice if our store is out, and it is still so yummy.  We top ours with sour cream, avocado, and extra chips!

2. Hydrangea Blooms

You know my love for flowers, hydrangeas specifically, so I just had to share that my baby hydrangea that we planted last summer has her first bloom!  YAY!  Here she is in all her glory!

3. Joyful Quotes

Can we just be real and admit that life isn't always rainbows and butterflies? I know we all know that, but we sure don't act like it and portray it online, which I get, but I just want you to know I get it.  Maybe one day, I'll share a peak into our current season and the joy I'm discovering in it.  But, I wanted to share this quote that I came across the other night pinning. It is totally what the Lord teaching me and I'm forever grateful.  P.S. Are you pinning with me? Come hang out with me!

4. Southern Living Magazine

Some happy mail arrived this week! I got my July Southern Living Magazine in the mail. It's such a fun day when it arrives!  This reminds me, we should send each other things in the mail more often; it's just so much fun!  But anyways, I love the beautiful spreads that celebrate the South. It's just so magical.  And how is it already time for July??

What's your favorite magazine to read? Let me know in the comments!

Now, it's your turn!  Write it down, say it out loud, or start a note in your phone, of all the things you are grateful for this week!  The big things and the small, simple joys.

I'd love to hear about your week in the comments too!  Let me know one simple joy from this week!

XO,

Addison
