About Carolina Dandy

The Heart of Carolina Dandy

We believe in Southern traditions and celebrating life below the Mason Dixon line. Rooted in Southern culture is one of our favorite traditions; the monogram. We believe our monogram embraces the past, present and the future, and the dreams and desires of our hearts. We believe that our monogram embodies the strong women in our life. The ones who have built us up and raised us to be gracious, kind, and respectful. We believe a monogram can turn an ordinary gift into something unique and special.

We are strong, independent, and hospital women who cherish the magic of this wonderful place we call home. The smell of honeysuckle, the morning dew, a handwritten card, saying Bless Your Heart, and that feeling of belonging are special to use. We fiercely build each other up and wholeheartedly believe that being kind goes a long, long way. Smile first, spend time with those who matter most, mind your manners, memorize your Mama's sweet tea recipe, and always share the love of Jesus. We crave a slower pace of life and never underestimate a good Southern drawl.

Above all, we treat others like family and offer monogram gifts that reflect the meaningful details we love about the South, it's charm, and our family traditions.

About Carolina Dandy

Carolina Dandy, previously named Lazy Daisy Monograms, was established in July 2013.  It all began as a fun side venture for Addison while enjoying her Summer off as a pre-k teacher.  She had grown up with everything monogrammed and wanted to find something she really enjoyed to fill her time while her husband was at work.  Addison researched embroidery machines, purchased and taught herself everything there was to know.  A Facebook page turned into creating her first website to accommodate the growing number of messages and sales.  Since then, the business has undergone a name change that seemed to a better fit, a new website with more features to help shoppers, and so much more.  Addison has since quit her teaching job that she loved so much to take on a new adventure that has become her true love.  She is behind every social media post, every email, every item embroidered, and every package shipped with love.

Meet Addison

Hey y'all! Welcome to my online front porch. I'm so happy you are here. I so wish we could be sitting on my front porch rocking away with her mason jars full of sweet tea and talking all about monograms right now.
Here's a little bit about me. I'm a twenty something, Southern girl who met her sweet hubby in college at the UNC-Charlotte in NC.  I began my career has a pre-k teacher in an inner city school here in my hometown. I loved it y'all. I really couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. This crazy monogram venture began when I realized how much time I had to myself with my husband's unconventional work schedule.  From the time I was a little girl, my purses were monogrammed, my jewelry was engraved with my beloved initials, and even my pillow cases when I went off to college.  I love the South, everything about it, and especially monograms. After teaching three years, the business was growing and expanding and I had to make a tough decision. Do I stick with teaching or take a leap of faith and say yes to this monogram biz thing? As hard as it was to leave teaching and all the friends I had made at work, I could never pass up an opportunity to pour my heart and soul into the business that I had worked so hard for.
I often times get asked, "where did the name Carolina Dandy come from?"  Well, I've always been proud to live in North Carolina and especially the South, so I knew when renaming the business that I wanted it to be connected to the South.  One of my Southern sayings that just rolls off my tongue is "well, that's just fine and dandy!" I also loved the reference of dandy, well-dressed and excellent.  Somehow Carolina and Dandy got put together and I've never looked back!
Fast forward almost 4 years, and my husband and I have welcomed a new baby boy, Harrison, into our lives.  We have a black lab, Tucker, and two cats, Nora and Scout.  My favorite colors are pink and blue (it depends on the day), I love my grandmother's Southern cooking, and I could be best friends with Joanna Gaines.  You'll never catch me without wearing something navy...I think I might have a problem.  I go for anything striped and probably own way too many navy striped things, too.  I run on Jesus, coffee, and the love of my family.  Polka dots, stripes, and gingham are my go-to's, and my favorite stores to shop at are Nordstrom, J Crew Factory, LOFT, and Target.
Please always feel welcome to reach out to me to say hey, ask a question, or whatever! I always try to stay on top of my inbox so you should be hearing from me rather quickly. My email is Hello@Carolinadandy.com.
